Bishop Jack Kemp
September 30th 2018- August 14th 2023

On August 14th, 2023, our son and the shop’s namesake, Bishop, affectionately known as Bash, died peacefully in Robert’s arms. Diagnosed with Medulloblastoma in August of 2021, Bash went through all available treatments before succumbing to the disease at Canuck Place Children’s Hospice in Vancouver. Our shop was named after Bash. While pregnant with him (our third child) we refused to get a second car and ended up buying our first electric cargo bike for our growing family. Bash was a joy to be around and loved being out on our bikes and riding his own. We are so lucky to have had him in our life and are so happy that his legacy will be the community built around Bishop’s Family Cycles. Every bike that comes from our store is a direct result of him being here for the short time that he was with us. Thank you for all your support and allowing us to be a part of your families’ lives. We look forward to helping more families get out biking and watching our sweet Bash’s influence on this community grow.
